Violent incidents in current times across the country have sparked a new controversy about the level of 'Intolerance' in India. The US and other UN reports question India's commitment about human rights and certain lynching and horrifying acts on minorities have proved a strong case against our prospect as a peaceful nation.

Atrocities against Dalits and Muslims are rising which is proving some elements the chance to question the integrity and tolerance of India, a land of Gandhi-Buddha. While some are politically motivated, some are truly barbaric. Indecent act with some Dalit youths carrying carcasses portrayed the negative image of shining India. While communal flare-up mostly orchestrated from political establishments are engulfing India's tolerant image of accepting everyone as a near one, rising hyper-nationalism has made many liberals suffer the most. Although many such incidents are staged to misguide people like the one in Hyderabad University, the incident like rape and murder of Kashmiri girl is really disturbing. Each of these incidents either true or not must be a deterrent to our growing 'intolerance'. The government shouldn't distinguish between cast and religion otherwise there will come a day when our existence as a human being will be questioned.

Not every amoral incident must be termed as intolerant, some might have justification beyond the rational mind. As a citizen of a democratic country we have some rights but being anarchist is not only unconstitutional but also detrimental to our prosperity. We should cherish our long history of unity in diversity.
