Subject: Possible ways to prevent molestation in India.

Dear Sir,

With due respect, I would like to suggest some solutions to the rising cases of molestation against women and children in India through the column of your esteemed daily.

Violence against women is a crime to the society and should be addressed based on its long cultural and social trail in male-dominated Indian society. It is necessary to educate people on this issue and social movements should be carried out to filter the chauvinism.

The government should include 'Sex Education' in the curriculum so that students at the young age should be made aware of it. This could significantly reduce the menace in the long run.

Rather protecting girls every parent should teach their children to be gender neutral and schools should promote the initiative.

There is need to encourage women to hold key profiles in public and private sectors so that male chauvinism can be contained and more policies to encourage women to be implemented.

Finally, laws in India to protect women and punish molesters are enough but lack of implementation of it, sometimes due to political and administrative influences are holding India back to the primitive ages. Strict implementation of the law and fast track trail can become a deterrent to those errands.

I hope my suggestions would find some place in your revere newspaper and concerns will be addressed accordingly.

Thanking You,
Yours Sincerely,
XYZ

Refugees: Refused by Humanity

Place, Month Date: War reporting captures the devastation of building and casualties on the battlefield but it ignores the detrimental effect on millions of people who are left either homeless or internally homeless. As the counting of world refugees and immigration surges past sixty million, the psychological and the economic effect must be reviewed unbiasedly.

Mostly from war-torn countries like Syria, Iran, Nigeria, other middle-east countries and Africans prefer to switch their homeland with a foreign soil to keep their lives safe. But what they bring with them is much agony. Most of them either escape their country through human traffickers and left with no work and money once they reach their destination.

Further, in a foreign soil, they are treated as a threat and occasionally linked to their native country which reduces their confidence and probability of getting a decent job and end up in criminal activities that bring disaster to the whole community.

As no country give them valid papers to travel safely, many a time they land in jails and detention camps. With the growing numbers, many European and Asian countries today prefer to keep them at bay sometimes they are forced to settle near the border areas and their movements are restricted.

Although many human right organisations and cosmopolitans advocate their right to live and free movement, countries reject such claims as it would add more economic burden. While countries should open up their little resources to accommodate them, the world should find a solution to throttle the rising numbers.

Loss of near and dear one within a short span for Rabindranath was tragic. But he didn't let those dark memories ride easily. He penned down his agony in his books 'Kheya' and 'Gitanjali'. It was perhaps his life and literature waiting for this fateful turn. Like a fruit needs nourishing sunshine to ripe, this brought the excellence necessary for him to be referred to as the best poet ever. The loss dented his old age until he found them again within the Almighty, who took the closest place in his heart afterwards. Once the Father of the universe became his friend and companion.

The sudden popularity of Rabindranath is unique to all and bears no similarity. Some mere English translation of Bengali literature originally meant to circumvent his ailing bedridden condition, which he handed to famous Irish poet Yeats brought him fame, honour and wealth. But the person who remained calm in tragic times kept nonchalant in his glorious days also. The Bengali poet accepted the tribute humbly.
